For my concept I wanted to think outside the box. I had a lot of pics of pets on my phone that I’ve taken so I started there. From there I saw this picture of Saturn and decided to go with an idea of Saturn is taking over Earth, which in return is causing the animals on Earth to double in size. Three invisible men are trying to save the planet and defeat the bigger than life sized animals and get onto the spaceship in the back. The animals are gathered around the three invisible men because they are trying to kill him and stop them from getting on the ship so they can go to space and save Earth.

For this project I wanted to give a similar vibe to Studio Ghibli film. I found a couple of reference images from some of my favorite Studio Ghibli films. I used clouds for the clouds and images for the little land part in the water. I then went through pictures I had taken myself and found a landscape picture of the beach that matched perfectly with the two images I found.

My idea for this project was to make a sort of unexpected love story. I start my audio off at the airport to show that the person is taking a trip then heading on a plane. When she gets off the plane you hear her say how good she feels and how good she looks. They then head to the club where she ends up bumping into a guy after leaving the restroom. You hear her say “excuse me” and the guy say, “I like you.” Fast forward, she’s at a concert and it’s 11:11 and she’s wishing her and the guy she bumped into end up together forever. The end of my audio ends with vows being said and calm ocean waves. I added the same audio of at the end to kind of finalize them being together forever.

My trailer is based on the horror movie “TAROT.” I picked this movie because I love horror and well, I wanted to use things that I already had around the house for my footage. This is the link to the original trailer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bvDArsKoTOE I used my standing ring light to record and I just went scene by scene of the trailer and tried to make my footage similar. For example, the tarot cards in a circle, while in the original trailer there are 12 cards I only did 9. That was a personal choice but it’s still similar to how the cards are portrayed in the original. I edited my clips in premier pro by making them darker similar to how they look in the original trailer and to add that horror element to it.

I’ll be honest my hard drive gave out on me and I lost all the files I had created for the background and audio of my animation. I already have experience animating so instead of using Abobe After Effects I used ToonBoom Harmony. I was already working on a short animation. Basically, the story behind my animation is that my two characters take a trip to Breakfast Island because there is nothing to eat in their fridge. On Breakfast Island my characters meet Toast and yeah. I created the background and audio for the animation, as well as the characters and everything.
